The Boppy

Good to know we're getting plenty of use out of our Boppy. I was tempted to write "72 months" on an index card and place it beside him on the pillow. You know, so he doesn't feel left out b/c that's the kind of picture I'd take of Josie. He jumped up before I could contemplate this decision any further. Oh Wrigs...

Guess who is...

bigger than Pooh is? That's right, me.

My dad likes to put me on the middle of the bed and place Pooh right in front of me. That's pretty much the start of our wrestling match. Pooh used to take me down every time, but guess who's getting bigger and stronger? I think there's a new heavy-weight champ in town. :-)

Mustang Sally

On the eve of my mom's 60th birthday, we left a note on her car inviting her to a "Girl's Night Out" and the following day, we picked her up in this...

Haha, no, this wasn't our gift to her. We rented this mustang convertible in honor of her birthday. And it happens to be the car she learned drive in, let's do the math here, hm...45 years ago.

We drove it around KC that night and then it was hers the following day to drive wherever she wanted. Although rain had been in the forecast, we ended up with two of the most beautiful days, which made for perfect convertible weather.

We went to Avenue's Bistro for dinner (delicious! highly recommend the lobster ravioli.) and then onto Cheesecake Factory for dinner. We were definitely the most popular girls on the road that night, or at least that's what I like to think. We just might have been those "weird dancing girls in the convertible" to most people we passed by. :-)

The Index Card

There was plenty of strategery involved with our 7 month old crib pics. Notice how the index card is placed ever so slightly BEHIND Josie, rather than next to or in front of her, as seen during previous crib pictures. I basically hung from the crib in order to avoid her from seeing it. My previous 25 attempts were unsuccessful as you can see below.

Apparently Josie has a taste for index cards and would much rather eat her birthday card rather than pose like a sweet little angel next to it. At 7 months we're doing lots of fun things like swimming, playing peek-a-boo, clapping our hands and.....well, eating index cards. We even played tug of war at one point.

And if I ever tried to take the card from her, well, you can see what happened.

Am I a horrible mother for posting a picture of my sweet little punkin crying?

What?
